Session 2 of Connecting for the Common Good
In the second session of Connecting for the Common Good: A Masterclass with Peter Block and Friends, we turn our attention to a crucial element of transformation: building local and employee agency. Whether in neighborhoods, organizations, or institutions, change takes root when people believe they have the power to act — and are invited to do so.
Too often, our systems are built on control, compliance, and top-down decision-making — the Roberts Rules of Order. We know a different way is possible. We already have the tools, methods, and practices to support authentic engagement; we just need to choose to use them. In this session, we will work on establishing the courage to trust people — employees, residents, teams, and more — as the co-creators of meaningful change.
In 90 minutes, we will dive into how to activate agency at a local level and in our workplaces by creating the means for trust, ownership, and possibility. Together with Peter Block and special guests, we will examine real-world examples of what it takes to move from passive participation to true partnership.
