Accelerated Flawless Consulting
As a staff person, we want to be seen and valued as a trusted business partner. In cultures where control and predictability seem to be the order of the day, we realize our great expertise does not guarantee us control or even authority to make decisions or see our plans implemented.
So what is left? Collaborative relationships with our clients and internal customers.
Accelerated Flawless Consulting is a combination of both part 1 and part 2, and was specially developed as an intensive, advanced version of the two workshops.
Participants learn how to have influence when they don’t have control and get their expertise used by even the most difficult people at all levels of the organization. If having lasting impact is crucial to the success of the work you undertake, Advanced Flawless Consulting will help you to better position yourself with business leaders and peers and give you the skills you need to be successful.
The objectives of Accelerated Flawless Consulting are to develop skills that increase the staff person’s ability to have a strong and positive impact on their client’s business results.
Targeted Outcomes Include:
Negotiate enduring, more effective working agreements.
Effectively deal with difficult people and situations.
Avoid no-win situations.
Deal with resistance in the process.
Conduct interviews to collect data around a business issue.
Identify methods for mapping out action steps with the client prior to implementation.
Create more requests for work and increase job satisfaction.
Individuals in staff positions such as human resources, training, organizational development, information systems, finance, safety, purchasing, engineering, etc. — anyone who is in a position of having influence without direct control.
Up to 24 participants and may vary based on your specific requirements.
Each participant receives a Workshop Participant Kit which becomes a guide and a journal.
This workshop is highly interactive. You will become deeply immersed in the material through interactive simulations with one or two other attendees. The workshop also includes written exercises to apply key concepts to your own unique situation. In addition, video recording in small groups is used to analyze actual situations. Finally, you will have the opportunity to experience a full contracting meeting, conduct data collection interviews and a feedback meeting. Brief lectures are used to present initial key concepts. The workshop participant kit contains a journal which serves as a general guide to the workshop. In addition, the kit contains supplemental information and all handouts, role plays, laminates, etc. which are used to increase understanding and application of important skills.
