Tracey Tapp joined Designed Learning as a Consultant in 2019. She has over 29 years of experience as a trainer, consultant, and facilitator. Early in her career, Tracey was an internal consultant specializing in workplace transformation. For example, she provided change management expertise to reengineering projects for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, trained and facilitated employee problem solving teams for the City of Los Angeles, and led the transition of a traditional manufacturing plant to a team based work system for Armstrong World Industries.
Since 2000, Tracey has had a private consulting practice focused on leadership development, team building, and coaching. Her clients include fortune 500 multinational corporations, city and county governments, privately held businesses, and even the leadership team of a chicken processing plant!
Tracey has the ability to build rapport quickly and see all people with “unconditional positive regard.” She is a strong empathic listener and collaborator who asks powerful questions. She is passionate about personal and organizational learning and development, and is skilled in creating a supportive and challenging environment that fosters the “a-ha” moments that lead to change and growth in individuals, groups, and organizations.
Tracey received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California, where she also served as Supporting Faculty.
Originally from Southern California, Tracey currently lives in Destin Florida with her husband Jim.
