Floyd became a consultant with Designed Learning in 2019. He has a deep passion for connecting people to themselves and to others, and to create environments of autonomy, belonging, and competence. It is within these environments that people find true empowerment, and from this empowerment, people make the greatest impacts in their communities.
For 20 years, Floyd has offered programming as a team building facilitator and guide, experiential educator, coach, consultant, and outdoor program developer.
Much of his professional career has been spent working with mental health professionals and educators. With an ability to work with varied populations, Floyd has successfully worked in grade school classrooms to corporate strategy rooms and with all kinds of groups in between. His quiet, thoughtful, and fun approach to the work invites individuals to engage in new and innovative ways.
Floyd lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he serves on the board of LongWalk Tulsa, a youth empowerment organization which uses backpacking and social engagement to allow students to experience and step into leadership. Floyd is also beginning a new endeavor working with local artists, architects, and adventure leaders to develop an immersive adventure space where people can play learn and grow.
